"Fine," she said finally, her voice a low rumble. "If that's how you feel, then you can climb back down your beanstalk and tell them all what happened. And maybe, just maybe, they'll understand why giving me what's rightfully mine is so important."
With that, she turned her back on him and stalked away, leaving the man shaking and trembling where she had left him. He couldn't help but feel a twinge of respect for her, despite the fear that still gripped him.
As he made his way back down the beanstalk, he couldn't help but wonder if he had made a mistake. Perhaps Indica was right, and climbing up the ladder had been a mistake after all.
